Quick answers to common questions about using infographicAI.
The basics
infographicAI is a tool that turns your text into an infographic. You paste a report, article, or brief — the AI reads it, finds the key points, and designs a visual that fits the content. Then you can refine it with plain-language instructions until you're happy with it.
Yes, with limits. The free plan gives you 15 credits per month for the first 3 months, which is enough for 1 generation or 15 small edits. Free downloads include a small "generated by infographicAI" watermark. Paid plans remove the watermark, give you more credits, and unlock HD downloads. See Pricing for details.
Yes. You own what you generate, and you can use it for client work, presentations, marketing, and other commercial purposes. You're responsible for making sure the content you paste in is yours to use — for example, don't paste a copyrighted article you don't have rights to. See our Terms of Service for the full picture.
Generally no. The AI works only with what you give it — it doesn't invent facts or make things up. The two things that can go wrong: (1) your input is too short, so the AI doesn't have enough to work with, or (2) the AI structured the content differently than you'd prefer. For small fixes — rewording, removing a section, or adjusting emphasis — the edit feature handles it well. But if the result feels thin because you didn't give the AI enough to work with, the better fix is to start a new generation with more input.
Before you start
Anything text-based: a report, article, blog post, brief, research summary, raw notes, or even a URL. The AI works best with focused content of 300+ words. Less than that, and the AI doesn't have enough to design around. Don't worry about formatting — paste it raw.
A typical generation takes around 3 minutes. Edits are faster — about 1 minute each. If something is taking much longer than that, refresh the page and try again.
You can paste your content and pick a style without signing up. When you click Generate, you'll be asked to sign in. There's no password to remember — you can either get a sign-in link sent to your email, or sign in with Google. That's it.
When the result isn't right
Yes. Click the edit button on your infographic and tell the AI what to change in plain language. Examples: "make the header bigger," "use blue instead of green," "swap the pie chart for bars," "emphasize the 40% number more." Each edit costs 1 credit.
You can, but we recommend editing instead. Regenerating starts from scratch and costs another 10 credits — and the AI may make different choices the second time, including ones you liked. Editing keeps what's working and changes only what isn't. If you really want a fresh take, start a new generation from the home page.
Some websites block automated tools from reading their content. When that happens, the AI may receive an error message instead of the actual page — and try to design an infographic from that. If your output looks confused or is about "access denied" or "robots.txt," this is probably what happened. Unfortunately, this still counts as a successful generation and uses 10 credits. To avoid this: copy the article text and paste it directly instead of using the URL.
Credits & billing
A credit is the unit you spend to use the AI. Generating a new infographic costs 10 credits. Editing an existing one costs 1 credit per change. Different plans give you different amounts of credits per month. See Pricing for the breakdown.
If a generation fails on our end (the AI errors out, the page crashes, the request times out), credits are automatically refunded — no action needed. The one exception is when a URL you submitted couldn't be read by the AI; in that case credits are not refunded, because the system technically completed a generation. See "My URL didn't work" above for how to avoid this.
Go to your account settings and click Cancel Subscription, or open the Creem customer portal from your billing email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you keep access until then, and won't be charged again after.
All sales are final, and used credits are non-refundable. If you cancel a subscription, you won't be charged for future cycles, but the current cycle isn't refunded. EU users have certain legal rights at checkout, which are explained in our Terms of Service. For exceptional cases, email support@infographicai.xyz — we'll look into it.
It depends on which kind of credits you have.
Monthly plan credits (the ones included with your subscription) stay usable until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, unused plan credits are cleared and your account becomes a free account.
Permanent credits (the ones from credit packs you bought separately) don't expire. They stay in your account and you can use them whenever — even after you've downgraded to a free account.
To get the most out of your subscription, finish your monthly plan credits before the cycle ends, then dip into your permanent credits afterward.
Your data
Your input is sent to Google's Gemini API, which is the AI we use to generate your infographic. Google doesn't use API inputs to train their models. We also store your input on our servers so you can come back to your infographics later. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train any model. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
No, by default. Everything you generate is private to your account. The only way someone else sees your infographic is if you explicitly choose to share it — at which point a public link is generated. You can revoke that link any time, which immediately disables public access. (Anyone who saved a copy before you revoked it still has theirs — that's outside our control.)
Two options. To delete a single infographic: open it from your dashboard and click Delete — it's removed permanently and immediately. To delete your entire account and all your data: go to account settings → Delete Account. Everything is removed, except your email address, which we keep to prevent abuse of free credits. We explain this openly in our Privacy Policy.
Downloading & sharing
Click the Download button below your infographic. Free accounts download as standard-resolution JPG with a watermark. Paid accounts can download as high-resolution JPG or PNG without a watermark.
Free downloads include a small "generated by infographicAI" watermark in the bottom-right corner. The watermark is removed on paid plans. There are two reasons it's there: (1) it helps people who see your infographic discover the tool, which keeps the free tier sustainable, and (2) some jurisdictions require AI-generated content to carry an AI disclosure — the watermark handles that automatically for you.
Open your infographic and click Share. A public link is generated — anyone with the link can view it (no account needed). To stop sharing, click Share again and disable it; the link stops working immediately. You can also download the infographic and share the file directly through email, Slack, social media, or wherever you want.
The downloaded file is a flat image (JPG or PNG), so you can't change the content with our AI once it's downloaded. You could open it in Photoshop or Figma, but for most edits the better path is: go back to your dashboard, find the infographic, click into it, and use the AI edit feature. That way the AI handles layout and styling consistently — and edits cost 1 credit each.
